I completed 12 years service in the NH legislature.
Peter Burling
(D-Cornish) is now the District 5 State Senator. When I
decided not to run again at the start of last summer, 3 newspapers editorialized on my tenure

One of my last
assignments as a State Senator was serving on the Commission to
Study Child Support and Related Child Custody Issues. I worked to help
find common ground between disparate views and helped write and
format the final report. You can

Support Commission Final Report 12-1-04 (Caution - large file: 2.5MB file). NH's Child Support laws are in serious
need of reform and updating and this report explains why with a report
of finding and recommendations. In 2005 the legislature extended this
Commission and Gov. John Lynch appointed me to serve as his designee
on the Commission, which is in the process of hiring an economist to
assist with developing new Child Support guidelines
